If I could be guaranteed an earlish slot (11am or before) then I would definitely come on this. Any spaces left?

when i spoke to Awesome this afternoon they said they had 11 (plus me) booked, so they had some capacity and you could rock up on the day. they said that they can't guarantee a running order, but if you get there nice and early (9ish) you've got the best chance of getting to pick a slot.

i suppose you could get there early and if you're not going to be able to do your run you could leave it. you've not paid up front so you're not committed as such

A good morning. The Polo managed 225bhp and 274lbft. Not bad for a 1.4 with just an exhaust and remap. :happy2:

Without wanting to take anythin away from your car John, I'm sure its a right bit of kit but I'm a bit sceptical about Awesomes torque figures, when I was there the other week a guy was tellin me about his 400+lbs/ft stage 2 ED30 without an uprated pump and my pals stage 2 K03 GTI made 370 ft/lbs on their rollers which doesn't ring true to me

Bacillus was there today too - he's definitely done something else to his car as it is now running 338bhp and 381lbft  :surprised: and he is quite shy when you ask him about his mods.

I'm far too wise now to know that it is a dyno lottery Gaz  :happy2: - Just wait till I tell Steve Jr at Statllers that my torque is over 30lbft higher over the other side of the hill when I see him next

It sure is, but I reckon it is more like 250-260lbft as Awesomes dyno's are renowned for higher torque figures. bhp is usually about right since they recalibrated it a while ago. 210whp isn't too bad for a car that weighs under 1150kg.  :happy2:

Thatsbsome comedy torque there.  Awesome GTIs torque seem to be high all the time.   Id say your stadtlers figures are more realistic. Are you going to run setting c with your IC?

No, I'll probably still run setting B on the road and then run C when the occasion presents itself (dyno day and 1/4 mile and trackdays). When I get w/m on I can run C all the time

I thought as much as he just gives a wry smile when you ask him outright.
