Everybody ready for the asteroid?
« on: November 08, 2011, 06:24:11 pm »
According to the news, an asteroid the size of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier will buzz past the earth tonight at a distance of 200,000 miles which is inside the lunar orbit. It won't hit us though. Still amazing and kinda scary though to think that something that big is flying towards us!

And unless you have at least a 6inch aperture telescope to observe said aircraft carrier/asteriod, you won't see a thing.
