Car broke down today - Help needed!

Hello folks, the saga continues with my car yet again :fighting:
When I picked the car up, I put my foot down, and it hesitated, engine revs fell,  then picked up again. The same thing happened this morning aswell, aroung 50mph.
I was at a set of traffic lights today, pulled away, same hestitation, then the engine cut out. Car was stranded for 30 minutes and would not start up at all, then all of a sudden, it fired up, and away it went.
I logged the fault codes as listed below.
I looked at rosstech, and I fitted a new OEM hfpf earlier this year, can follower was fine 2 months ago, I had bought a new low pressure fuel sensor of someone from this site a few months ago, but unfortunately I left my spare on the APR pump when I sold it :fighting:
I did some datalogging, and the fuel pressure is fine, if anything it goes higher than requested?
Has anyone got any ideas as to what it can be, as I dont fancy being stranded at a set of traffic lights for half an hour again!

Only extent of my knowledge is its always worth double checking cam follower and the lambda is the pre cat one that's showing fault.

Mine showed similar fault codes and I replaced the cam follower and intake manifold runner. Been well ever since.

It is actually a motor on the side of the intake manifold that opens and closes. I am not too tech headed but I knew mine was knackered.

Found this for you Dom

There is a TSB for p0087.
Thrust sensor on your HPFP may be bad. Fuel leaks into it and causes incorrect values to be reported.

Do you get the cuts when just cruising along? Car cuts fuel, throws into limp mode? You dont even need to be getting on it?

Do you get stuff like this:

000135 - Fuel Rail/System Pressure: Too Low
 P0087 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent

012555 - Low Pressure Fuel regulation: Fuel Pressure Outside Specification
P310B - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded

Check this TSB: 01 07 64 oct. 1, 2007 2016182.
"Due to fuel intrusion into the low pressure side fuel pressure sensor -G410-, a false signal may be sent to the ECM resulting in a reading that is out of tolerance. A false signal may result in illumination of the malfunction indicator lamp and DTC p129F or DTC 310B being stores in fault memory. To fix, replace with the new sensor to aid against fuel intrusion."

Do you have the genuine OEM map on the car now?

I think its looking like it might be the cause of the problem to be honest. Wish I had taken it off the APR pump now and saved myself sone £££££s I'll order a new cam follower whilst the pump is off for the 8th time or so :laugh: Thanks for the heads up martzini

Yes mate, had a full engine rebuild done the other week, only done 200miles on it, so OEM map on the car until its been run in :sad1:

Thinking about it, it took half an hour, and countless times to turn the car over, so maybe if there was a blockage, and it eventually worked free, might be why it turned over in the end?
So much for V-Power then.... I never get let the fuel gauge go less than 1/4 of a tank either

Yes mate, had a full engine rebuild done the other week, only done 200miles on it, so OEM map on the car until its been run in :sad1:

The reason I asked was - on our last but one trip to the Ring, markymark had a limp mode (not a Pele problem) problem, throwing very similar codes.  

We changed the above sensor in a car park in Kent, and I believe it worked out to be the map.  We persevered but ended up leaving the car in Belgium, at a VW dealers.
