Good program! I thought the Mclaren acoustic engineer was an utter idiot. It's also interesting that one of the most critiqued parts of that car is the noise!  Sackkkkkkkkkkkkkkk himmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

My post referenced the series Robin which is why it's called How to Build as that's what the series is called. I bumped it again in time for Sunday's programme but will know better next time and not bother.

....Oh do stop being so silly and over sensitive, Ian. I missed your post when I came to this site. I'm busy doing other things nowadays and just do quick visits here rather than trawl through all the threads.

All that matters is that we try our individual best to network and share info for everyone's sake. If something mistakenly or accidentally gets double posted occasionally, so what.

Watched it Sunday.
Love the new McLaren 12C, would certainly have that instead of the 458 if my numbers ever come up.
Especially as it's not a Ferrari.

Also reckon that Volcano Orange Metallic paint colour would look ace on a Mk5 Golf.

I liked the fact Ron Dennis joked himself about stroking a stuffed white cat as the 'Technical Centre' looks like a Bond villian's lair. Pretty cool.

although that noise guy was indeed a 
he went on and on about the noise, but one of the main mp12 criticisms at launch was it was quiet and soulless, so much so they have revamped the noise already...

RedRobin sent me a text about this, but I was at work and eventually watched it on I Player. Great programme and an interesting insight into supercar tech.

I Sky+ it when it was on and got round to watching it yesterday. Whilst I was watching it a pal of mine rang me and told me he'd been to the McLaren factory the day before and had the full tour, meeting and having lunch with Ron himself! 

Git! 

Was a great program though, enjoyed every second of it!
