Air Bag light
« on: November 25, 2011, 07:22:20 pm »
Car had a knock 30k ago and I think the drivers airbag and passenger window airbag went (From my investigations of what looks like it has been replaced. The airbag light is on when you start car. What would you guys do to solve? Is there a good place to start? Will VAG com bring anything up? (Ive scanned and no fault codes come up). Are any of the control modules one use only like the airbags?

Cheers

Does the air bag light ever go off after starting the car?

A VCDS scan will actually hard log the specific crash sensor which triggered the bags.

But the error message is caused by a transient code being stored - it just needs the codes clearing, log out of the controller, log back into the controller, re-scan for fault codes - and that should hopefully clear the error message.
