Door locking mech
« on: December 04, 2011, 06:32:06 am »
Well had some slight cosmetic work done due to nasty scratch on drivers door and I believe the door card was removed to avoid overspray on the edge. Now the drivers door always takes two pulls on the interior or exterior handle to open. None o the others do...ie passenger or boot.

Dealers who did the work are saying its the electronic locking switch...but it does it when it's been remotely unlocked and should be opening onthe cable as far as I knew??

Any ideas before I go in as don't fancy more costTBH.

Could this be something in the convenience settings???

My passenger interior handle is the same, but not the exterior one AFAIK

I think its to do with the Auto lock feature! (the doors lock when you exceed 5mph or something like that)

Of course, I could be totally wrong  :ashamed:

Well it's consistent so seems unlikely to be a failure in my view.  Onoy on the drivers door now after doing a manual lock with the key for 10 secOnds. Just seems odd
