Looking to buy a MK5 GTI!
« on: December 07, 2011, 06:58:25 pm »
Hey guys, Alex from Oxford.

Been troubled over the past few months over what to buy as an upgrade from my C2 VTS - I've been putting it off for a long while. Finally given in to the impulses and going to go for a MK5 GTI in the coming months.

Wanted to pop in and say hello, read a few threads and find out anything I need to know before buying!

Good to hear it!

I know it's quite a step up from the C2, but I've been staving off for just this reason. Was looking to spend £12-14k and wasn't sure a TT was the best way to spend it, nor could I afford to run a 350z, heh. Looks like I'm headed in the right direction here, a good all-rounder that sounds fantastic to drive.

The C2 -

Have a test drive next week, looking forward to it.

U cant beat an Edition 30 and its in your budget, you should be able to find a nice 08 plate for your budget.

I'll be honest, the GTI is such a huge step up already, I'm quite happy forgoing the 30.

Prefer to put the money towards lower mileage, or mods :p
