Newbie from Newbury, Sorry it's an Octavia VRS though!
« on: December 08, 2011, 04:26:53 pm »
Afternoon all, I was pointed here by the Briskoda forum as I understand there's a bit more info on modded cars etc so thought I'd join up :-)

My car is currently old man mode Octavia Estate in Blue:

First mod going on shortly having just had these refurbed & powdercoated:

Then the car is being lowered (sensibly only by around 30mm) so it will look a tad better, just a few more bits to do for now

Thanks

Sorry for the delay, wheels were powdercoated by Headley Bodyshop in Newbury, colour wise they were similar to the E39 M5 Wheel Colour if you know it.

I have just received my lowering kit too so going to get it lowered over Christmas, then get the wheels put on in January

This is my thread but I'm currently serving a Ban for unauthorised advertising so I'm hoping to get that sorted out soon!!

The car has been treated to a full detail since those pics and has now been lowered on Eibach Pro springs, although lowering it further would be hugely improve it I can't really justify it as the car gets used for lugging gear around, and as our family car when we go away so I don't want to have the wife moaning about it being uncomfortable so at the moment it's a good balance!  It's actually dropped a fair bit more since these pics were taken

Also, just managed to get hold of a lovely Mk5 ED30 Golf, it's a Silver 5-Dr and has just been tidied up at the bodyshop incl all 4 wheels being done, few dents and scrapes sorting and it looks awesome - Just got to get it detailed in the next couple of weeks before getting any pics up ;-)

Cool, what colour is your ED30?  I've seen another Silver (08 plate) car around last week or 2 with some slightly dark wheels that looks nice!

Can anyone help?  I can't find a way to contact a Mod but want to basically talk to them about posting in the Pro Detailers section but I was banned for 7 days last time I posted something in there as I didn't realise it needed to be pre-approved...  Now I've got my access back but still can't see how to contact anyone?  The last msg I put up in there using my other logon (nickg123) was deleted so not sure what to do now.

Thanks in advance
