Phil's TR Edition30
«

Recentley joined up on here looking for a MK5 Gti, fortunatley for me this edition30 turned up for sale locally and although red would be my last choice, i kinda fell in love with it so i got myself a new motor and spent most of yesterday giving it a quick winter detail along with changing a few bits, so heres a mega quick write up...
So the aim was to get a quick winter protection detail done before the winter really sets in. I got a little carried away on the bonnet though which was the worst affected area.
so i started by...
sod it heres the pics
lights how there were before
lights after polishing
same on the rears
swirls and scratches on the bonnet and 50/50
what happens when you drag the hose across the bonnet
sorted
then my time messing about pretty much ran out so super doooper quickly gave the rest of the car a super doooper quick polish and a coat of jetseal as i never had time for wax.
removed the rear wiper and GTI badge for a cleaner look
unfortunately theres at least another 3 days of polishing to do on this, its just gunna have to take time though im afraid.
that is all for now but will hopefully update some more very soon.. hope you all like.
Phil

Looks lovely Phil, I detail myself as a hobby. What did you use on your headlights/rear lights as mine are pretty much swirly!

thanks mate, the light aren't 100% yet as is the paintwork. To do the lights you need to flat them back with wet and dry first, then polish, this was just done quickly with a spot pad and some cutting compound to rid of all the major scratches and swirls.
Once the winter's out the way it'll get a full on treatment.
