Osram or Phillips?
« on: December 23, 2011, 11:47:57 am »
Does it make much difference which brand?

Also, which are the uprated dipped headlights and sidelight product codes for both if anyone has them?

Thanks.

Give ring xenon 120% bulbs a go. £18 delivered on eBay. Just swapped my Philips 80% extreme power bulbs for these as they were really yellow. These are a nice white light and you can see when driving how much whiter the light is on the road.

I've got the ring xenon max 100% h7 bulbs, they still look yellow but do have a whiteish look to them. £16 delivered
I'm 80% happy with them which is not bad really :)

I have the same fitted to my Superb and there is no yellow tint to them, if anything they have a slight blue hue to them (compared to the OE Bi-xenon's)

I currently have the Osram Night Breaker Plus in mine. They are much brighter and whiter then OE but still have a slight hint of yellow. So if the ring xenon 120% bulbs are whiter with a hint of blue then I will give them a try.

I have compared the Osram nightbreaker + to the Ring xenon max and there is no different, so for the price the Ring xenon were the way forward.  You could also consider a good quality HID kit now the officials have seen sense and relaxed the MOT reg's on them.  :xmaspresent:
