tesco momentum

Hi guys,
Quick question, I normally use v power or BP ultimate but the last £40 has been on tesco momentum, now the car is mapped with a ITG and blueflame TBE at stage 2 Revo,
Today in traffic I noticed that when I let off the throttle the car pops lots more than it normally does and it very very slightly kangaroos, passengers can't feel it and it doesn't rock the car but I'm sure I can feel a very slight one

Anyone have any views on this? Maybe that tesco fuels crap?

i've not got a map but i use tesco momentum and v-power interchangably. i get slightly worse fuel economy with momentum, otherwise i notice no difference whatsoever

I use either or too, no differences IMO.

I fill up every week with Tesco 99ron and have no issues at all

I use both as well. Same as sub39h, I get less miles per tank with momentum though.

I use either or and have no issues but mine is the 2.0TSi so dunno if that reacts better to diff fuels.

I've put BP ultimate back in and the car runs better, not popping as much when letting off throttle, very odd,
Cars due some new plugs next week and a service so will see how she drives on it then

I have always used momentum 99 but the last tank was vpower and I think its smoother and crisper on vpower. But round here vpower is still 5p litre more expensive than momentum. When your going through £70 a week momentum will be fine.

I'm at my parents in Wigan over Xmas. Went to Tesco to fill up as its the nearest one to my folks. The momentum is 14p per litre cheaper than the V-Power near where we live in Salisbury (£1.33 vs £1.47). It's 6p a litre than the nearest shell to my folks.

I really wonder how Tesco can make it so much cheaper than Shell as it more than likely comes from the same refinery.

All depends on what part of country your in as tesco n shell v power only usually minimal difference in price. I usually use tesco and im stage 2. No issues.

I use either tesco 99 or v power. Wouldnt touch bp due to previous bad experiences.

Bloomin' Tesco, is there a pie that they haven't got their fingers in?

I'll stick with Shell for my Petrol.  I don't trust supermarket fuel after what happened a few years ago.

That's what I'm thinking, there's got to be a reason why it's cheaper, it's not like I have a Missfire or performance issues it's not 100% happy on it, on shell it's fine!

You know what untill I read this thread I now realise that Tesco's 99 is not as good as the usual BP or SHELL.  Mine is re-mapped and once or twice its popped and when dropped from 6th to fifth when there is the occasional Dick behind you it has held back for a quick moment before taking off nicely again!! Glad I read this one, well pointed out
