See Evo 166, which arrived today. The Contis won best overall performance tyre and the tests were based on an S3 and a MKV Golf. Contis FTW! :happy2:

Bought a VERY nice set of Classics with minimal and had some new rubber fitted this afternoon. After much thought and as the Jetta is a daily that travels 70 miles a day i went for the Goodyear Efficient Grip which for less than £98 a corner meant i managed to buy the alloys and tyres for less than £500 all in. Result!

Conti CS3s are bloody brilliant tyres. Check with VW as well as i'm sure someone on here posted that they priced matched with internet prices.

From what I understand, the ContiSport Contact 5 tyre replaces the Conti CS3.

The CS3's are excellent tyres - my local VW dealer price matched the best price that I'd been quoted which was black circles online.
Also, not sure what state the VW symbol in the centre of your alloys is like, but I asked for a price for these to be changed whilst they were working on the wheels and they charged me £20 for all 4 centres fitted (which is a very decent price as it sounds a complete pain in the ass to change these yourself)
