Remove scratches? best substance for black car

Hi, I have a Black MK5 there are some suitcase scratches on the bumper which i want to remove anyone reccoment good product which will remove, there not very deep but if i run my finger through them i can feel the scratches a little? Not sure what is the best product i dont mind paying the price

Post some pics of the scratces mate so peeps can get a better idea what your up against  :wink:

I've found autoglym super resin polish to be the best for scratch removal. Takes a loooooong time and you have to polish from all angles but eventually it will remove 90% of the scratch (to a point you can barely see it)  :happy2:

GONE:2007 Black GTI Edition 30 3dr

SRP is filler heavy. If the scratches are enough that you can feel them, realistically a respray is your best option. You can try wetsanding so that it flattens the entire area but this would just mean the clear coat is thinner.

Machine polishing would round off the edges so the scratches aren't as visible.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Try gtechniq p1 failing that most likely a respray.

Anybody tried that Meguiars scratch x(think thats what it's called). Got a few light scratches & wondered if this stuff is any good?. :smiley:
ED35. Standard factory condition.

Scratchx is a filler it won't remove the scratches altogether

GTechniq and a firm applicator will be a strong choice by hand.

As stated, SRP fills and will struggle on harder clearcoats, so perhaps not the best choice (assuming it's on a Golf)

Thats a respray unfortunatly :sad1:, that wont polish out!!

As above, that's a respray job. Scratches are too deep to polish out.

That will need filler followed by a respray.
