As the title, how do I find a engine code from a cars reg number?

I dont believe you can. Only from the V5 or physically seeing the car. Unless a dealership were happy enough to share the information with you, which is unlikely unless you were the owner.

You mean the engine number or the actual spec code

im sure the spec code is on the vin label in the boot
