Car park ding Nooooooooooo!!!!!
« on: December 30, 2011, 03:04:34 pm »
Why the hell can't people be more careful when they get out of cars to make sure the door does not smash into MY BEAUTIFUL CAR!!!!

I am so angry. I always take care to make sure their is a big gap when I park next to someone.
I now have a horrible ding on my rear wheel arch, right on the lip.

Does anyone know the best way to get these out without spending a fortune? The paint has not been disturbed at least.

Contact a dent repair specialist, often will only cost £30-£50 depends on where it is and how easy it is to get out. May have trouble if its on the lip mind.

search for PDR (paintless dent removal) in the Yellow pages/google

Standard: Rear parking sensors, Parrot Bluetooth
Retro fitted: MFSW buttons, RCD510, Boot pop, Black Monza II, Xenons, Audi jacking points, open fog light grills.

Sorry to hear about this.

If you are in the London/Surrey area, Martin Leach - The Dentman - is the very best. Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche etc use him. Not the cheapest, but the very best. No doubt. Google him.

Not sure if they cover your area, but used these guys in the past and the work and service was spot on. Totally proffessional.

i guess people just look for the best car and park next to it , i went on holiday and parked in one corner of the car park miles from any other cars , thinking it would be left on its own only on my return two cars one either side had parked next to it why do they do it , there should be special spaces for mkvs like there is for parent and child :)

I've had to come to terms with the facts. A nice car is, when parked at a shopping centre/supermarket, an irresistible pensioner-magnet. It draws, inexorably, gold Nissan Micras toward it like a black hole. I wish the boffins would spend less time looking for Higgs Bosons & devote more effort to developing a wrinkly-repellant to spray onto cars.

After the rage has passed, it's worth trying to remember that as long as the paint hasn't been broken, most good dent repair guys can work absolute wonders. If you don't know who to go to in your area, I suggest you phone your local bodyshop of choice. These guys use dent repairs guys all the time. They will know who the good ones are, and who to avoid.

It will fix. But going out to your pride & joy to find your eyes drawn to what some thoughtless maggot did to it isn't easy. I hope you get it sorted soon.

I had a nasty little dent on the nearside front wheel arch lip, which was perfectly removed by my local dent meister. I'm sure yours will fix :happy2:

this is the reason why i spent 20min this moring looking a a very very busy tesco car park for two spaces next to each other so i could park in the middle!

then a couple parked a space next to mine n i got out a watched the passanger get out, dam the guy gave me an ugly look then went over to the passanger to help her to get out, at which point i smiled n said thank you.
