Which OEM Head Unit do I have? And what are my upgrade options?

Hi all,

When I bought my Edition 30 recently, I assumed it had the same head unit as my MK5 R32 had as it looks identical, but tonight I realized it hasn't got the 6 CD Multichanger option.

What head unit do I have? What upgrade options do I have? Wheres the best place to buy new head units?

If it has a 6 disc in the head unit it will be the RCD500 which looks like this: -




rather than the standard RCD300 that looks like this

Looks like I have RCD300 / RCD310 then. I'll hunt down a RCD500, I guess its a plug and play switch?
