Blinding Bi-Xenons/Xenons

How often have you been blinded by these? I've lost count.
Those self-levelling systems simply don't seem to work on undulating roads. Also, many of these lights are badly adjusted.

If I had the power, I'd ban the bloody things. Unfortunately, the 'bloody things' are rather tasty looking and light-up the road brilliantly. Great for pothole avoidance at night.

total agree they do blind you maybe because I don't have them I don't like them.  don't do to much nite time driving so don't need them

I don't have them either as I don't do much night time driving. Prefer comfortable evenings at home with a glass of Port.

However, the Mk6 boys/gals on the 'other' place, the name of which escapes me for now, feel that any car without such an enhancement is a fate worse than death!

drive a car with xenon headlights at night for a good length of time and going back to halogen headlights will be like someone switched the lights off...

i agree improperly aimed headlights are a hazard...but its taking it a bit far to say flatout that bixenons are dangerous! take a drive around birmingham at dark and you'll lose count of the number of idiots with misaligned HALOGEN headlights who glare drivers, these eejits cause as much of a hazard to other road users as improperly aimed bixenons/xenon headlamps do...

I have never been flashed in over 3 years and wouldnt have a car without them again either. The hid lights on the other hand piss me off to no end

My parents' car has directional xenons. They live out in the countryside and the illumination is 2nd to none. I live in the city so I don't really need them, but if I lived somewhere with poor or no street lights I wouldn't drive a car without them

I agree with the above, xenons aren't generally a problem. HIDs on the other hand grind my gears. Seems to be a lot of people around my parts who have them. I'm not sure it lights up the road any better for them, and makes it a hell of a lot more dangerous for everyone else

They would be doing more of a service educating people how and when to use driving lights, rather than having none on or driving with virtually invisible side lights, now those are the real idiots.

Having said that, I think Xenon's correctly fitted and aligned are a great safety feature on dark unlit roads.

Nothing against xenons except I don't have them 

Just got a thing against misaligned headlights, drivers who like the side lights on and in various different colours including red with front fogs on rather than headlights, People who use rear fog lights all the time or when it rains, people who don't turn full beam off on country lanes when approaching other traffic and people with half the lamps out on their car 

I think thats all my bug bears when it comes to lights

Cheap HID kits in reflector headlights are what will blind you the most. They scatter light everywhere.

Mk4 golf owners love them!
