« on: January 11, 2012, 08:11:36 pm »
purchased and installed forge spacer a week ago thinking i would give it a blast, wish i hadnt bothered.what a waste of cash!!! as soon as i took it out for a spin i new i had lost power, as couldnt even get the front tyres spinning in 1st or 2nd .double checked the install to make sure i had fitted correctly and then went out and let rip a few more times with the same out come.forge state that u dont lose any power with there forge spacer ,well i can confirm there full of sh*t cause as soon as i removed it the tyres were once again burning rubber in 1st,2nd and 3rd with traction control light going off like a christmas tree.just thought i would give a heads up to anybody who was thinking of purchasing 1.mine has now been binned as could be bothered to advertise it.

IS the spacer faulty?
Did you fit it incorrectly?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

not faulty, and was fitted correctly with out a doubt. after fitment took a trip down to rtech to c why i had lost power and even they said it was down to the spacer. like i said before as soon as it was removed i had all my power back.

I cannot see how you would lose power by fitting a forge spacer?

Unlike a MK4 golf the recirculated air is not monitored throught the maf sensor again so makes no difference to where the air is ventilated to.
