Steve... What was the damage for your TV. Gonna get a new one this year, my panny is playing up and looking a bit tiny. (32")
£649 with 4 sets of active glasses and a £50 voucher to spend from 1/3/12 onwards, saving that towards a new xbox  :happy2:

Not too bad... And 1080p?

I've been looking at panny 42" plasmas. Seem quite reasonably priced on amazon. :-)

Rich, don't rule out your local Panasonic specialist as mine was cheaper than anywhere else at the time.

42" sounds small.

Will look around. 42" is surely big enough for Jeremy Kyle and This Morning.... ;-p

For a great tv with 'proper' blacks then plasma cant be beaten. I have the Panasonic vt50 plasma, nothing else I have seen comes close.

Check out : http://www.avforums.com/ for great reviews from people that know hw to test a TV.

im sorry but 6 months is a very optimistic estimation, double it then add some is more likely.

im waiting for quad HD to be mass produced, its gonna look soooooo beautiful! (its 4 x 1080p for anyone who's wondering)

if you want my opinion dont go for 3d under 50" you dont get the full benefit/effect on the screeens under that size.

I disagree. 3D on my 37" is spot on for my room. Unless you have a huge room or are able to watch nothing but HD massive TV'S for me, don't produce good quality images.

I honestly cannot see the point in a 3D screen unless the screen is measured in meters i.e cinema size projection.
