Help with section removal on front bumper
« on: January 13, 2012, 12:09:18 pm »
Hi, Can someone tell me how to remove the two covers or caps located between the headlight and the fog light on the front bumper section.

its for a mk5 gti

It can be seen on the picture below, it looks like the cap or cover to where the headlight washer should be?

Forget the front lip section, just a pic from google

(sorry if im being stupid. I did use the search and google but nothing)

Thanks  :happy2:

Do you have any sturdy plastic trim removal tools? If so, start by prying at one end then just undo tab by tab.

If you're concerned about damaging your bumper this way, it's only a few torx screws to take off the bumper and you can pop the covers off from behind.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Yup I can get them from work no problem!

Is it just like the interior trim and just needs a bit of tactical prying. then just pop back in?
