after making sure its the correct offset id say the 2nd most important thing would be to make sure the rep is balenced correctly as the weight of the rep compared to the proper alloys must differ a bit??

just double checked the replica alloy,

ET is engraved onto the rear but there is no number following on afterwards which is pretty useless....

although thinking about it...........

"510618X 7.5J" that number which i listed before, perhaps the 51 at the start refers to the offset??

If the number above is from the rep then off set is et51 wheel size is18x 7.5" wide. By the looks of things you'll be fine running all four

best news ive had all week!!! thanks...

I don't want to scare anyone as I'm not absolutely sure, but. Do replica wheels not use taper seat bolts (is that not why they come with new bolts) and genuine wheels use a radius seat? Obviously you cannot use one with the other if you want the wheel to stay on!

I was recently offered a set of 3+1 gen/rep and did not go for them for the above reason. Although if it was the case you could use taper seat bolts on the rep and radius on the gens, assuming all other parameters are matching.
Anybody know for sure?

i dont see why they would make specific VW replicas which require differing bolts to the originals? doesn't make sense...?

Because they are making them to their own specs and not VW's therefore they will do whatever is cheapest / more common.
