Ikea Hack.... Painting Ikea furniture
« on: January 21, 2012, 07:11:37 am »
I like this site for ideas when bored with or ideas for old Ikea bits

http://www.ikeahackers.net/?m=0

A few people on there have painted ikea furniture, my question is what kind of grade sand paper would you sand it with before painting and what type of paint (want white)

Anyone else spruced up any?

We actually want to buy a new piece for the Missus but doesn't come in white like to match the rest of our room

If its veneer  you'd want to rough it up quite a lot, 80 grit maybe
