And I frigging love it!! A huge thank you to NHN from this forum for fitting and coding for me! Great guy and very helpful! Helped me with a couple other coding tweaks! Very recommended,
The sound quality compared to the RCD300 is amazing. Now to get a bluetooth kit and buy an SD card and shall be laughing!!

Check VCDS settings for radio generation III and you CAN gateway. Otherwise your RCD510 will
suck your battery till it's empty.
If you change settings via VCDS you may set the RCD510 this way by pressing 'Setup' longer:
CAN speed (same as shown on E-MFA). I experienced it to work more precisely than
standard sat navs:

It's all good man, I updated my canbus with a new one! What settings do you have extra? Im happy as it is man!! Great piece of kit!!!

My 2008 GTI already had the right gateway, so we just had change the antenna plug
and set it to ''Gen. III'. I still don't know any details cos I went for the RCD510 in 2008.
