DSG... its only at around 5500 he starts to leave me. I think if i got the DSG remap which can bypass the 6200rpm limit it can be only be better ?....

Once im in the next gear say 4th gear coming from 3rd, hes just pulling away and im not even catching up.

Thinking about it, an IHI 1.8T running water meth should be running more than 310, surely? If it were 340ish then it's not surprising it pulls slightly given the weight advantage.

I've been thinking about knocking some weight of my car but I don't want to take the aspect of a "golf" away so it still has to be practical,

TT/alloy hubs and arms 3kg a side
Leight weight battery 10kg
Carbon bonnet (painted) depends on which, VWR app. 12kg saved, Osir app. 7 kg
Pro race 1.2 18"? app. 2,5-3kg a wheel
Porka brakes app. 5kg a side?  :ashamed:
Remove spare wheel and tool kit ?

I don't want to start taking my interior out or loosing air con, what KG's would the above knock of at a rough estimate?

Over the top mod list ;o)

Stock internals, keeping it safe. i think its 320/ with matching torque mapped by Jabbasport.

Hes tubby is just stronger up in the higher rev range. IT doesnt help with Revo where the torque goes up then back down once its high in the rev range. Where maybe his torque is so linear!

No dramas,,, MK5 > MK4  ;)

I have just fitted my s3 intercooler, rs4 valve this weekend, then i can maybe play around with settings as atm im using 9/5/5......

TD's were one of the best mods I did to my Ed30 tbh.. I did weigh both the stock wheel and the TD 1.2 (18") and they were about 4.5kgs lighter per corner IIRC. That's unsprung weight to so even better..  :happy2:

The DSG ED30's are a good straight line motor, put it this way, Ben's Stage 2+ (355-360bhp) ED30 clocked 2 secs quicker over 30-130mph than a Focus RS MK1 with roughly 350bhp and bear in mind the FRS is 70-100kgs lighter and when you figure it was proven that the DSG is good for 2 secs over 30-130mph, it shows why!
380bhp!
