unfortunately a whats it worth thread :(
« on: January 28, 2012, 06:22:50 pm »
Hi,
looking at getting my finances in order, currently suffering a slight set back in my finances and need to sort out my priorities :/

My Golf is a 2006 Tornado Red 5 door GTi with 85,000 miles 1 owner before me
100% standard
no options apart from factory fit 18" Monzas
the only exterior damage is a slight scuff on the n/s rear bumper
interior is what you would describe as good :-
small cig burn in the rear (not by me)
wear to both drivers and passengers  seat bolsters (passengers has been stitched)

only had it approx 6 months but i need to get my priorities in tune!

Alan
(ps im crying)

Is that a bra  :surprised:

When I bought mine from a specialist, he said red was the hardest to sell  :sad1:   Cambelt, etc would be due as well.

On the bright sia, low owners is always good.

Probably around £6500.  The interior would put me off, especially a fag burn!

I bought mine in October for 6,500, and it is as follows:

3 dr
manual
Shadow blue
Interlagos cloth with mint interior other than slightly sagging driver bolster
80k
Monza 2 18" alloys front two lightly kerbed, back 2 mint
Bodywork mint other than some stone chips on the bonnet.
Full VW service history, belt and pump done.

This was also bought from a garage.

I would advertise it at £6,250 - £6,500, but be prepared to take £6,000 based on the fag burn etc.

Fun Golf: 2016 mk7 R DSG 3 door. Work Golf: 2015 mk7 1.4 TSI GT ACT 5 door.
Gone but not forgotten : mk2 Golf GTI 16v, mk4 Golf V6 4Motion, mk5 GTI Storm Developments Stage 1, mk5 GTI Revo Stage 1, BMW 330ci, Skoda Octavia VRS Revo Stage 2, BMW Z4 Sdrive35i.
