Ahhhh. Now have a wheel dilemma. Ive tried to order some Pro Race 1.2  in ET35, anthracite and my spec of 17x7.5.

Unfortunately Rimstock have absolutely no blanks on the shelf for this size.  :sad1:

My options are 7" (which I dont want to go for) or 8". If I went for 8" I'm not sure what offset to choose to A. Clear the brakes and B. Not cause any rubbing issues.  :fighting:

When I originally enquired, they were on the shelf with a 4 week turnaround.

Personally I'd avoid 8" width as I think they will rub on either the inner or outer rim whatever offset you choose. It is quite tight under there with 7.5" wide rims.
Golf R gone.

Wolf race Pro-lite. Same weight as TDPR 1.2 but I haven't checked the offset or width availability.

I've looked at those, but don't like the multifit bolt pattern. And it appears only 17x7 according to rimstyle.

Agree. But it's ecause they work. I can't afford another expensive mistake with wheels that don't clear brakes. You can hardly trial fit a special order.

Oz are too generic as well. I can order TDs with the correct centre bored and my chosen offset as well as order with no writing on the outer rim. It's just so frustrating Rimstock are out of cast blanks in this size.

Deako, if you go for the TD's, for 215 tires, I think 7.5 is the best choice.
I had the same problem as you are having now. Nobody tried 17 inch TD's on nqsbbk. So, to be sure not to make a mistake again (I previously bought some OEM wheels that did not clear the brakes) I went for ET45 and 8inch wide rims.
The clearance is huge in my case.
If you tell me the bell size (the distance from the disc surface to the rim hub) I can give you some indication on whether the TD will clear the brakes.
As far as I know the bell size (not sure this is the correct expression) is 25mm for mk5 platform and 15mm for the mk4 platform but I need some confirmation.

This is how much room there is behind my 7.5" TDPR 1.2's with the TAROX BBK on. If you want I can measure from the centre of the disc to the outer side of the caliper and then measure the gap between the caliper and the wheel to give you some idea of how much room you would have for your brakes.?
