The R-Tech lads have a K04 equipped BWA pushing out 370bhp - they recon the engine does it no problems!

374bhp with WMI

Could you post the pre and post WMI dyno graphs?

WMI makes no power on its own merits it need to be mapped in to get nice gains , its used for efficiency to run a leaner AFR, strong advance tables and higher substained boost.

Nick, whats the fitting cost for water meth on a ed30 ? I will supply the kit, but what do you recommend ?

It not what we do, with James mk5 I was helping him out so we could get some mapping R&D time on the dyno with WMI.

18/19psi to the red @134bar rail pressure with WMI 18-21deg advance is the way forward.....  :driver:    It would be if I can get rid of this stupid EPC fault.... :ashamed:

I meant an overlay graph from when you originally mapped the k04 to results after wmi installed.

i have got a mk5 GTI with a BWA(with ko4) engine.      I brought a S3 ecu from ebay as i was going to install a BHZ engine.

I wentt down the local scrappy and they offerd me this engine for 1.4k with gearbox but with no loom or ecu.

The engine was from a Golf R20

can i use my BWA loom?

I can't see why not, I have an BWJ (Cupra engine) with AXX loom and AXX ECU.  :happy2:

Over the top mod list ;o)

You still running the GTI map sensor then? 1.5Bar limit?   as when i put the S3 map sensor in i just get fault codes.

I have the Cupra/S3 sensor but not fitted yet, but i assume it won't work unless i find a Golf R ECU or ED30 ECU for my car  :sad1:

You can use the old loom fine.  The engine is physically the same.

Just use the old map sensor.  The s3 map sensor may need scaling to get it to work properly.

I can get 21mm wrist pinned forged rods for the s3/ed30 engine now too.

The CDL has the 21mm wrist pins all ready does it not?
