O M G - Given her more recent history of substance abuse etc perhaps I shouldn't be surprised but that is a shock!

I remember first hearing her first song before it was a hit and telling everyone I knew about how good she was and no-one in the UK had heard of her. I saw her in concert a couple of times in the early days and she was truly awesome.

She used to be one of the very best female singers on the planet - Much better than on her commercial singles. Her voice put singers like Lady Gaga to shame! I don't dislike Lady Gaga but there is no comparison - It's like chalk and cheese.

R.i.P. - She brought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people in her heyday.

That's right - She was so smouldering hot in "The Bodyguard" and her voice was at its peak then too. I had a crush on her too!!

....That's exactly why there's an element of shock or surprise at her death. But it's what heavy drugs do to you.

Another Rock-n-Roll casualty but, it has to be said, an awesome singer in her heyday.

Yes I was shocked at her age but as said she went downhill when she met Bobby Brown and never really recovered.  :sad1:

Bobby bloody Brown!  :fighting:

I bet that a lot of folks around the world will be pointing a finger of blame at Bobby Brown. He's obviously not entirely to blame but was definitely a very bad influence and in some way responsible morally.
