if you live in UK purchase the kit from Kufastec.de as its cheaper than the UK site!  :happy2:

decided i am going to order the lot from kufatec..

in terms of the extension cable, from locking at the picture on the kufatec site the cable appears not to have the correct end connection for an iphone.

If installing the mdi kit in the centre console do i need the extension lead,

I thought it was one or the other,it definatly was on a MK5 with the basic ipod kit. I wasnt aware it was any different now but i may be wrong.

You still need the adaptor to go on the extension cable that you would have used without it.

Went to pick up the Mdi from vw yesterday. £240 with no loom!

They also wanted £120 for the loom. Decided not to take it. Have looked on eBay as there are a few but I'm not sure as I want an original loom.

Does anybody know of the loom kufatec supply with their Mdi kit is oem?

This one, 5N0 057 342, is a kit and includes the wiring and everything you need but is the discrete version.

Kufatec make their own looms.

When you say discrete, glovebox fitment?

Do you think I would be able to purchase the armrest caddy on its own then use the kit you mention?
