alloy wheel fitment

Hi any body Know if the audi tt alloys will fit nicely into the wheel arches of my jetta the wheels are 9j x 18'' 52 offset as i dont want them to stick out of the arches or anything like that i want them to sit flush to the arches. Any adice would be greatly recieved.

for comparison purposes: common Bentley fitment is 9J ET41. These seem to fit about flush with the arches on the Mk5.

9J ET 52 will sit in the arches (i.e. have more tuck) by 11mm

O right i see the bigger the offset the more they tuck in the arches so spacers would be a good idea to bring them out abit then?

correct. this didn't make sense to me at first, but if you draw a drawing you'll understand why a higher offset means more "tuck" and a lower offset means more "poke"

Cool cheers for that don't suppose you know what the offset is on the R32 omanyts do you as i did have a set of them on my jetta and just recently sold them but i need the offset of them to guage how it will look with the tt wheels on i can picture the omanyts in my head but these tt wheels.
