....
Can you recommend something sweet and simple (I never spend much more than a couple of hours cleaning my car exterior) to get rid of bugs etc, please. Looking for something I can keep in the boot and just point, spray, and wipe. Or apply with a cloth and polish off.
I currently use a white creamy stuff but it's got to be kept away from the black plastics because it leaves white marks for months.
A client of mine had a F40 (and a Daytona, and a Brabus Merc as his town car) - Fabulous car.
There's a few options really... if you don't want to spend any money a terry towel soaked in hot water and placed over the bugged area lifts them off the paintwork.
If you wanted to go for a product with more oomph you could use a clay bar and lube to get rid of them and then use a spray sealant to help stop them sticking in the future.
Or you could try a pre-wash solution to loosen them off, such as Valet Pro Orange Pre-wash, or a Citrus Degreaser, then rinse them off, before carrying on with your normal wash routine.
The best bet is to get rid of them as quickly as possible to eliminate the possibility of the bug-juice etching into the paintwork, then apply a sealant to help stop them sticking and make future washing easier.
