Another GTI 'owner to be' from Sheffield
« on: March 02, 2012, 09:29:26 pm »
Evening all,

My first post on the forum although I have been reading all the useful information for the best part of 2 years!

I'm looking at buying a GTI before the end of March so thought I'd say hello. Will also be posting an idea for a thread on the General Chat area which might be interesting discussion hopefully.

I've been desperate to get back in a fun car for a while and will soon be hopefully, had different priorities for last few years, wedding, daughter, house move but now able to get back into my cars and hope to go a bit but not go too far down the slippery slope

As you can guess by the name I've come from SeatCupra.net and previously had a Leon Cupra R with lots of nice subtle bits (all functional mind  :happy2:), which I loved so looking for something similar. Quick, well built, fun but will also be my daily family car, something like a Golf GTI

Live in Sheffield (have seen a few people appear to be localish) so lucky to have Statllers and JBS who did all LCR work on doorstep.

Cheers,

JP

Thanks for the welcomes, sure I've seen your car before Mark that cup splitter is pretty rare I think, could have been parked at Statllers when I've been on way to Pitz to play football.

And hello to Octimark, I'll say welcome to forum too even if my first post was only a week or so ago  :happy2:

Would've been me *Mike at statller  :happy2:

Does everyone in Sheffield recommend Statllers then?

Whenever ive been in to see them (about 3 times) they always seem to busy and quote months for waiting times. They also seem prety uninterested in getting new business. Maybe it's my car they dont like :signLOL:

I dont recommend JBS from personal experience.
