Forza 4 challenge
« on: March 08, 2012, 09:19:41 pm »
He's a little challenge for any xbox guys on here.

Do a hot lap in the Golf R round the top gear full track and see what your fastest time is.
Doing a hot laps means you pick the bog standard car.

Once we've had fun with that we could then do the same but tune the car to a certain class to find the best tuner out there!

My time with the standard class B466 R is 1:21.839.

The game isn't quite realistic though as that time is the same as the real life time of an Audi R8 V10 driven by the stig.

Is your lap from a standing start or a rolling one?

Maybe PS3 GT5 too?

Or would you rather another thread?

Sorry forget to say, it's a flying lap so just start the hot lap and do as many laps as you want.

It took me about 50 laps to get down in to the high 1:21.

Your question has also made me realise the official top gear times are from a standing start so maybe the game is accurate.
I'd guess the at would be around 1:29 if driven by the stig.

As for GT5 keep it in this thread, it would be interesting to compare times.

Can't believe no one has tried this yet.

I've been practicing and have a new fastest lap in the golf round the top gear track.
It's 1:21.581, so come on guys see of you can beat it.

Also had a go in the reasonably priced car. Managed a 1:41.841 in the Kia.
Let's get some friendly racing on the go.

Come on don't be shy post up your time.
I'll pm you for your gamer tag if you prefer.

You can then see my ghost and see where you're losing time.
Just done a 1:41.599

It's started to get exceptionally hard now.

I did a 1:24 in the golf using the steering wheel for the first time. I'll try with the controller tomorrow.

How can you see someone elses ghost?

My time in the reasonably priced car is now down to 1.40.594
This is through the rivals mode and you can see other peoples ghosts if they are on your friends list.

Doing it through a hot lap and picking the car and track isn't the same as for one a rolling lap will be muh quicker.
You wot be able to view people's ghost.

I have now got the golf R time down to 1:21.107.
Unfortunately this is through hot laps as there is no official challenge in the game.
Again means you can't race my ghost.

If you are on someone's friend list you can easily compare times on the leader board.

My Xbox gamer tag is timtiny get me added.
Feel free to post your gamer tags in this thread and I will add you.
