Erm... New car
« on: March 14, 2012, 09:24:37 pm »
So, I've changed cars again. The R32 was a bit of an impulse buy and I was a little underwhelmed by the performance to be honest, and given the fact it can't be tuned very easily I thought I'd move on.
Non VAG this time so go easy on me!
It's a 57 plate Astra VXR, 28k miles, AFL Xenons already has a Milltek cat back.
Already had some bits wrapped to make it my own. ( chrome fog surround and strips under windows also boot strip), booked in to get the rear diffuser gloss black for next time home.  Next up will be some springs and at some point some Pro Race 1.2s.
Anyhow pics

Gettin on with the car so far but I'll prob end up back in a VAG before long.
Comments welcome as always
Scott

Cheers, tbh the torque steers not so bad - need to keep a hold of the wheel tho!

Yeah it does that! Only power mods would be intake and stage 1 map (maybe) - a map only gives 20 to 30bhp increase. That would be enough I'd imagine!

I've had a GTI previous for around a year, would have liked an Eddy this time around but finding one with a decent spec and relatively near wasn't happening.

Yes matey, I remember :happy2:

You've had some lurvley motors

That's why I was saying it, I'd have thought you would love the Gti?

I know people change cars, but lots of people come back to the Gti

Ed30/Pirelli next???

To be honest the GTIs been the best car I've had yet. But once I'd changed everything on it I wanted to start again! I will end up back in a GTI at some point - it will be an Ed/Pirelli or maybe a mk6 tho. Need to keep this for a wee while tho or I'll be sleeping in my next car. Ha ha.
