Just use the browser then! I gave up using Tapatalk ages ago as it's no quicker than just going to the site normally with Safari...

I use it because it's probably less data intensive than the website.

Use Opera instead of Crapatalk if you wanna reduce data usage. It's free for a start...

.
I don't care if folks wanna use Tapatalk but it gets irritating to constantly read the Tapatalk sig on every post - It's blatent advertising which interrupts our conversations.

Can Tapatalk users switch this feature off? And, if so, would this forum be willing to insist that users do?

Folks wouldn't like it if all my posts ended with the words:

"Sent from RedRobin's quadcore 27" iMac" etc!

Tapatalk is way quicker than safari, It works quickly when not on 3g/wifi, where as safari takes forever downloading images etc. Plus you can customise the menu bar.

However... pointless right now as it doesn't work.

....As long as this forum's server is working as it should, I don't experience any slow image downloads via Safari on my Mac system and internet provider.

They're talking about their sheep phones and panty pads, I expect, RR. Forum is plenty fast on my non-iOS phone with unlimited data package.

The forum is fast enough on Safari but only if you have WIFI or 3G. However Tapatalk works better for slow GPRS connections which is why I use it. If this forum had a mobile version then I wouldn't use it. But only one of the forums I use has a mobile version so I use Tapatalk for when I only have a GPRS signal.

The signature is easy to turn off. It's in the settings.

Steve,

Any chance you could check the server client as even with the latest App neither Tapatalk or Tapatalk HD work on this forum.

Server client is running the latest version and is reporting to Tapatalk servers as working correctly.

When I have some time I will take a proper look.
