As Above.
Fabrice Muamba collapsed and is now in hospital. Medics spent 10 mins trying to revive him, including defibrillation, apparently he was not breathing when he left the pitch.
No-one else was involved. Play was well away from him.
Game abandoned.

Scary. I don't follow footy at all but he's obviously a fit bloke.
An extremely rare condition attacked my brother out of the blue last summer and he's still battling with it. You just never know what is going to happen
Hope the guy makes a full recovery

Sky news are reporting they revived him in the ambulance and is now in a stable condition.
Keep fighting Fabrice!

Confirmed as in a stable condition, according to a hospital spokesman (source: Sky news).
Thank goodness. I hope he makes a full recovery and can play again soon, he's a good player.
I'm sure some will remember Marc Vivien-Foe who tragically passed away in a very similar incident

Really hope he makes a full recovery. Awful news to hear. Just gotta hope those 10 mins without breathing weren't too damaging and you'd hope with his age and fitness he'd be in the most resilient position.

Terrible what happened to Fabrice Muamba, shocking. you never know. Am a massive Spurs fan but football takes a backseat when these things happen, glad the game was stopped.

Shocking news and really hope he's ok, wonderful to see rivalries aside the world of football coming together in support for the lad. Just shows no matter how fit you are you just don't know what's round the corner.

Sad news, but it's nice to see that we all unite when bad things happen.

Close to a miracle that he's showing signs of some sort of recovery.
It will be an absolute miracle if the guy ever plays any kind of professional football again. What a moment that would be...
Keep going Fabrice
