What's cracking me up is Greeners was selling a mint one for ED30 money....

An Edition 30 is still a golf but at Porsche Money evidently

Your not wrong, my dad had a 997 Carrera 4S and the rear tyres were something crazy like £400 quid a go  :surprised:

The clutch needed replacing at 20,000 mile and that wasnt cheap either as you can imagine!!!  But the noise  :jumping:

The credit crunch put a premature end to his Porsche ownership days!

I wouldn't have the Porsche.Or any supercar for that matter.
Cos then I'd have dicks like me,rolling up behind me in their hot hatch wanting to race me,not realising I have a race bred pony with an accredited history in refining power, handling and braking(not to mention the rather impressive appendage, which attracts the ladies) and then allowing them to think that they might, just might have a chance until I floor it and leave them in my impressive wake.
I have a supercar.Get over it. :notworthy:

I have a re-mapped Golf ED30.It's a bloody good laugh! :innocent:

Get over it guys a golf is a golf who cares how fast it is as its still no Porsche as its not how fast a Porsche is its the way the car is made and drives its a pleasure to drive one. I would say if you have never driven one go test drive one then you will understand

Gotta agree with Mat etc. It's still a Porsche, a test drive will soon make you realise how they outclass a golf in almost everyway. I had a Cayman R on an extended test drive last weekend, what an epic car them things are!

It made my TT feel like a numb fat lump, granted my car made the Porsche look silly in a straight line but does that really matter? IMO, not at all, I would take the Cayman over mine in a heartbeat, the way it cornered , the build, the ride, I could go on and on. It really opened my eyes to how insignificant straight line speed is  :happy2:
