It would be much less painful for everyone if Keith ( APR ) and Kev ( Revo ) have a bare knuckle fight at GTI international and the winner gets to have the Uk.  :indifferent:

I dont need switching chap, just a simple stage 2 map for my car, if APR do an offer (like they have done before) I will go for it, otherwise Jabba or anothe tuner gets my money  for the same software without the gimmicks.

:happy2:

Plus I believe another tuner offers an SPS type device on their maps effecgtively doing the same for less ££

Well go and buy your cheaper map then, with switching chap.  :indifferent:

as per my previous post chap " if APR do an offer (like they have done before) I will go for it, otherwise Jabba or another tuner gets my money  for the same software without the gimmicks" I probably will do but without the gimmicks :booty:

I have nothing against either Revo or APR except for the higher prices for essentially the same software  :happy2:

Why do I have to fight Kev?  I heard he is one of if the best guys there.

Wouldn't Yates or the like be more fun?

Tuner Death Match

FWIW, I'm not doing what I do to directly upset or attack Revo.  Its their biggest and home market though so I can understand why it seems that way.

Personally I am glad APR are back, hope it balances the market out a little more as it was getting very much REVO HQ.

:surprised:
and again
 :surprised:

another amnesty?!?

Bloody hell, wish you guys would make your mind up, all I ask as a customer of over 10 years and thousands spent is honest advice.  One minute APR is the dogs bollocks, then REVO.  Now im guessing APR are the best again.  If your going to change your mind so often, maybe APR and Awesome should explain their reasons for the change from APR to REVO now back to APR again

At a rough guess

Here is Awesomes press release

Customers,
The directors of Awesome (Jim Cotton and Mark Ash) are pleased to announce the re kindled partnership with APR LLC. After a period away from the American VAG tuning specialists due to support and technical issues, we are excited to be back on board. We have spent the last 12 months partnering Revo Technik, whos products and service have been fantastic. It is with great regret that we have to part ways with Revo, but this was inevitable as it has obvious conflicts for both manufacturers.

The reasons Awesome had for leaving APR have now been resolved, with the introduction of a UK based, APR owned, technical and R&D facility. This will allow APR products to be developed and evaluated very quickly for the specific needs of the UK market place. It also means that we are able to contact APR personnel without timeline restraints. This can be a huge factor when dealing with sensitive areas such as software programming.

Another big factor in the return to APR, is the collaboration of APR with Volkswagen Racing Limited. This exciting partnership brings on board a host of cutting edge products from the VWR stable, these include ITG filtration, VWR braking and suspension solutions and the branded range of apparel.

After a recent visit to APR LLC. HQ, in Auburn, both Mark and I were bowled over with the passion and increased dedication to the VAG tuning market. With massive investment in personnel, equipment and various race programs worldwide (including VW cup title sponsorship), not to mention the UK base in Milton Keynes, how could Awesome not want to be back on board?

So as from Thursday 22nd March 2012, Awesome are delighted to offer the full range of software and hardware products produced by APR. A full product and pricing structure is underway at the moment and should be live on our website very soon. www.awesomegti.com.

Any further questions regarding this partnership, please contact either Mark Ash or myself (Jim Cotton). If you have any requirements for APR products, please contact the sales guys at Awesome

Just remind me never ever ever to use awesome GTI. Quite frankly I think this stinks, it's like playground behaviour of swapping 'bestest friends' every 5 minutes.

They openly admit and prove REVO to make better power than APR.... So now what? Are the admitting that they will be backing an inferior product?

Shame on them.

.
The player who stinks in this fiasco is, in my opinion, Awesome.

Business is a hard ball game and neither APR nor Revo can be blamed for doing all they can to further their business. As to who's product is 'better' is a difficult question to answer. I very much like both my Revo products and their aftersales service but that doesn't mean that APR don't offer a good product - I've never tried it. Doubtless the two maps have differing characteristics and individual drivers have different preferences for how their ride drives.

Why couldn't Awesome offer both APR and Revo? That way they would be truly offering customers objective choice.

If APR have been typically aggressive Americans and twisted Awesome's arm, then I lose respect for APR as well. The whole affair is childish and not in customer's interests. I would continue to buy hardware products from Awesome (I think but it is now in question) but never software tuning - I would have absolutely no trust in any future aftersales support.
