wheel painting time limits

hi all,

well this weekend im going to sand down my monzas and respray them, but how long do i need to leave them before i put them back on, im going for a black inner with a gun metal silver on outer, what you think

i would leave them for at least 24h from when you sprayed them

I would leave them off for at least a week or two, you are looking at 3-4 coats of paint with a 24hr gap at least, then 4-6 coats of laquer and thats if you don't want to sand it in between coats of paint.  Then you want to try and bake them the best you can with either a hair dryer or fan heater, failing that leave them in the sun for the day.

What paint are you using, and how are you protecting the black inners when you paint the outer surfaces in graphite?
