Great vid you seem to be backing off a lot though dude?

There were some moments before some turns where I was hitting the limiter and just couldnt be bothered to change up a gear, as it was so close to the next corner. For example, the main straight I could get into 5th, but only for a short while, so just let off until breaking time. My gear changes in my car arnt the smoothest so thats why

So, you are in a prime position now to say whether or not you believe FWD or AWD is better on track?

Awesome vid too Dan. Liking the commitment on some of those turns. :driver:

For my car its 100% better. now you can use ALL the power, as before, coming out of turns, it would wheelspin in the lower gears, even with the Peloquin diff installed.
Im not a good enough driver to judge other factors yet.

Well, cars been off the road for ages since a track session at btands hatch 3 months ago.
Had an elusive oil leak, then an elusive boost leak.
Boost leak turned out to be the wastegate rod had disconnected from the watsegate. Impossible to see without the subframe off.

Was at 30-130 yesterday and had the car weighed. A good result of 1400kg without driver and 5/8 full tank of fuel.
Thought that was pretty good considerinf its standard wheels and road trim inside.

Hi Craig,

the parts were bought as a package (im not sure of the origin though).
By centre bracket mount, do you mean the propshaft mount half way long the transmssion tunnel? This is a standard part so you can buy this or poick it from a scrappy. The mounts are also standard I beleive and were welded on.

The install was done by a couple of greek guys that came over, who were knwn to APR, but I dont have there contact details, and they didnt speak much english.

What information are you after?

Car's been feeling a bit sad lately, what with the oil and boost leaks, so i'd thought i'd give it some love with a new headunit. And of course it has to be OEM with my car.

I trieated it with an RNS510 version H, quite quite new, with 4020 firmware.

I previously had an RNS510,version A, years ago, but was pretty horrible, due to imcompatiblities with the unit, and other things about the unit which were crap or I dont link, but 6 years alater its all good :)

I changed the colour scheme of the unit, so the media pages are red instead of white - so its a bit less distracting when driving at night. The nav pagesa are a very dark blue which is nice.

I also changed the VW boot up logo to the SEAT one using an easy tool:

Yes, it says CD error, then some other error. You have to go into firmware downgrade mode to do it.
Its a certain key combination that I cant remember right now.

I think Setup + Star + Eject will reboot in into firmware downgrade mode and read the CD.
