Alarm siren not working?
« on: April 02, 2012, 08:24:54 pm »
As above really guys, the alarm activates as it should and the hazards flash but the siren doesn't sound.

Any suggestions?!

Car is a MK5 GT TDI 06 btw.

Cheers  :happy2:

Siren will likely be dead.

Simple to replace - drill out two rivets, remove a nut and replace the siren & rivets.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

I had the siren replaced under warranty two weeks ago - exact same thing as you mate.

Took the garage two attempts to fix it mind you :stupid:

Super, thanks for the responses. Any idea on the cost of a replacement siren?

About £110 from the dealer, part number likely to be 1K0951605C

You could get a used one for much cheaper, but it may happen again depending how old that one is.
