Sun roof cut down headroom? tips for new buyer?
« on: April 10, 2012, 02:27:50 am »
Hello

Looking to buy MK5 GTI  :driver: and seen a model with an electric sunroof for sale online.  Will this cut down the headroom? I'm just under 6ft 3". Also any problems with the sunroof? Extra wind noise? Leaks?

Thanks  :happy2:

If you can fit into it, buy it with a sunroof. A massive bonus in summer. They seem to be quite rare with a sunroof.

Nah. Shouldn't have any trouble getting in as the seats do adjust quite low. You should be fine

I'm 6' 3" tall and have no problem with the sunroof in my GTI.  As has already been said the seats adjust nice and low anyway and the roof is a real bonus - I wouldn't be without mine.
OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!
