BBS CH's or CH-R and 18s or 19s
« on: April 10, 2012, 05:30:05 pm »
Looking at buying a set of BBS wheels for my car.

I was going to get a set of 18x8 CH's
But I have seen these
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&tbo=d&gbv=2&biw=1024&bih=644&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=bbs+ch+r+mk5+golf&oq=bbs+ch+r+mk5+golf&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_l=img.12...43026l48861l0l50243l9l9l0l7l0l0l224l349l0j1j1l2l0.frgbld.

What do people think?

Car is a mk5 golf gti in cool grey.

Also 18's or 19's and is there any issues with 19's?

Was thinking 18x8 et45 which would allow me to lower the car slightly if required

yep ck.s in 19"

Gotta be 19" CK's  :notworthy:

CH's would be a very close 2nd but they are pretty much everywhere (and for good reason)!

Still would be 19" CK's for me

It won't be CK's I think they look awful  :P.

Having had a look about CH-R's are the way ahead.

235 35 19 tyres fit okay under standard suspension?

Now what off set? Et50? Want it to look nice and dished

Well the CH-R's are gorgeous too mate.

…..but I think I'd be going for the 19x8's rather than the 8.5's  :happy2:

Its quite difficult to get anything dished mate…. The lower the offset the more dish. My original Pescaras are ET51 and are almost a flat front face.

Having a few sets of 19" wheels, I can tell you that the perfect size for the wheels and tyres are, 19x8J ET45 wheels with 225/35/R19 tyres.  :happy2:

Ive never had any rubbing at all even with the car full (after the screw mod)

Not ordered as yet. Have asked the question if I can get the wheels in 19x8j et45 with 225 35 19

CK's just aren't for me they design is too rounded. I like my BBS wheels with more jagged spokes than rounded.

Now that is EXCATELY how I want my Tornado ED30 to look, simply gorgeous wheels and ride height. Antheracite BBS CK's in 19's (need to go sit down now) in my opinion.
By the way Monte, love your new boots on your car  :notworthy:
