I'd save yourself about 30-40 quid a corner and look at Pirelli P Zero Rosso assymetrics.

Absolutely brilliant in the wet or dry, amazing grip and not too noisy either.  :happy2:

Goodyears  :happy2:  Great tyre

Same here, just fitted Goodyear Eagle F1's to mine and they have much better grip than my last tyres which were Conti Sports (albeit they were SC2's). In fact I'd say the Goodyears are the best tyres I've had, great performance in the wet and dry  :happy2:.

I've used the search button and looked through, but I wanted to know what the noise was like aswell as the golfs seem to suffer worse than other cars.

Also the reviews seem to change from year to year conti just won the evo test came really low last time, yet same tyre.

Goodyears = FANTASTIC  :happy2:

Use tyre-shopper to get the cheapest fitted price (I paid £127.50 per corner FITTED for 18's)

Goodyear F1's. Had a set fitted about a month ago and IMO they are very good. Camskill online, about £540 delivered for 225 40 R18 Y92, get your local fitter to do the rest.

Had a look at that tyre fitter site £128.50 fitted for a Toyo T1S (Which I swear by, been using them happily since 2006, they were T1R before), camskill just charge me £194.58 for a pair of them shipped (Inc VAT), my local indy charges me £25 inc VAT for fitting 2 tyres, saves you nearly £40 doing it that way.

I just placed on order for 2 more T1R to replace the budget rears that have been on the car since i bought it and are still both pretty new but I would like matching tyres  :happy2:, will likely stick the odd cheapos on ebay to get rid of them.

Camskills say only £2 difference per tyre. I had half thought of going with Goodyear's new F1 tyre once my Toyo T1R's wear out but I think I'll wait and see what the verdict is in 4-5 monthd time.  :happy2:

Goodyears available here https://lovetyres.com/basket

If going for the Contis make sure you don't get the Mercedes Only versions. These have MO on the sidewalls.
