This may help you:

http://www.evoms.com/WebSiteUsers/evoadmin/install/MKVFlowInstallInstructions.pdf

Follow the guide up until the "Remove Engine Cover" stage.

To remove the actual cover, start with the top right and pull both upwards and outwards (towards the front of the car). With some force, this will eventually come off. Then pull from the bottom right, then bottom left, and then finally top left, until all rubber grommet thingies have come apart.

Hope this helps  :happy2:

Don't forget to swear loudly when pulling as the first removal is a b*tch.

Also lube the grommets before you replace the cover for easier removal next time.

Not recommended as the cover houses both the air filter and MAF sensor.

You should be able to remove the centre silver plastic bit to paint it if you want but the rest, as stated above, forms part of the air intake and has MAF sensor.

It is possible to remove the centre plastic bit BUT the lugs that go through are melted over to secure them on the other side.

The other side is only accesible by removing the air filter housing.

The best thing for removing the engine cover is to do it while the engine is still warm.
