Valuation needed - Apple stuff......
« on: May 11, 2012, 09:21:29 pm »
Hi all,
I have too much Apple stuff then I need! Hence I'm considering selling some of the stuff I don't need to fund another project
Not sold similar apple stuff before, and a friend is interested so just wondering what they would be worth.....

1. Apple Mac Mini
This is a late 2009 model, still in excellent condition, with the slot loading drive etc.
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53GHz
4GB RAM
320GB HDD
256MB Nvidia GeForce 9400M video chip
Built in Wireless n
Easily plays full 1080p video etc.

Can't find the original box or discs, but have just given it a clean install of Snow Leopard, iLife 11, and MS Office 2011 - all fully up to date.
Also have an 'as new' apple USB full size keyboard and a mighty mouse which I'll just throw in with the system along with the keyboard extension cable.
Finally I thought I'd throw in both DVI and VGA adapters for it, as well as VGA and DVI cables.

So it's pretty much the full package, and just needs a monitor.
All works perfectly.

2. Apple MacBook
Again this is a mid-2009 model. It's the white clamshell MacBook - not the silver MacBook Pro etc.
Off the top of my head the specs are....
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.23GHz
2GB RAM
250GB HDD
256MB Nvidia GeForce 320M
Wireless n, etc

Again, no box and can't find discs but has Snow Leopard, iLife 11, iWork 9, and Office 2011 - all up to date etc.
Comes with original charger.
Condition is very good. Some light surface marks to top lid from being in my bag, but otherwise excellent.

3. Adapters
Genuine Apple Mini Displayport to DVI Adapter
Genuine Apple Mini Displayport to VGA Adapter

I bought both of these from Apple thinking they would come in handy for my own MacBook Pro, but I've never even taken them out of the package, so they are both still sealed. I've since learnt to think before I spend!
Do you think I should throw these in with MacBook, since the MacMini has it's own adapers with it?

So, what do you think each of them a worth?
Would I be better of splitting things up or selling as the above packages?
As I said, I have a friend interested so if he was to take the whole lot, how much should I be looking at?

Check ebay for completed listings, it may give you a better idea of what some of it's worth. Apple products tend to sell fairly quickly these days. Also worth noting if any of these machines are still in warranty covered by applecare. It gives buyers a little peace of mind.

Had a look on eBay and find the prices vary a fair bit! Was hoping throwing in the accessories would make them worth more!

I think the macbook will fetch £200 easy  :innocent:

In fact I think my nephew has got about £200 that he wants to spend.

In fact I even think he wants a macbook!

What a crazy coincidence

Lol.
Been offered more then that already unfortunately.
Nevertheless if I decide to sell any of it here I'll create a for sale thread and let you know.
