K04 Turbo actuator
« on: May 14, 2012, 08:19:25 pm »
Evening all.

Can this be accessed from the engine bay, or does it have to be up in the air?

Thanks
Rich

I think it's a turbo off job to do rich.

I don't think it's advised to change for an uprated one from stuff i've seen/read if that's what your planning. I remember someone frying a K04 due to fcuking about with an uprated forge actuator :scared:

It's right underneath the manifold when bolted up to the block so yeah turbo off I'd say!

You can access the rod and nuts to adjust it when the turbo is fitted.  I've had to adjust mine in the past.  I'm sure I could remove the whole actuator with the turbo still fitted.

Let's try that little clip mod Rich.  Worth a try before changing the turbo (for a hybrid)  :happy2:
