For my alloys, I've given up on the diamond cut finish for the Monzas, as even the best attempts at refurb (A1 & Lepsons) seem to result in a return to the dreaded whiteworm sooner rather than later. So I'm going to shamelessly copy Red Roin and go down the Smoked Chrome route (powdercoated).

I'd be interested to hear what you think.

Shadow blue DSG 5 door with leather, sunroof, 18" Monzas, MFSW.
Full list of mods:  Seat inserts and a VW bottle opener.  Each worth 20bhp.

Hello! I'm a new member here actually, but have the most stealthy spec of GTI - shadow blue, 5dr with 17 inch wheels! But that's exactly what i was after! Anyway, love the colour - especially how it is dark blue in the shade and then becomes somewhat pearlescent in the sun.

Cracking looking car Tom! And you've got the rare sunroof, I wish mine had that! You also won't have the 18" Monza 2 refurbishment problem that we have.

I know what you mean about the colour, it goes a purply blue under lights, and more electric blue in sunlight.  :happy2:
