S3/R 2.0 tfsi engine will it go straight on to DSG gearbox from AXX?

I had a look at the engine today and it looked in mint condition, but my concern is the seller said it was from a golf r with a DSG box but he was not sure if it would fit and work on the gearbox I have, from what I know it should go straight on?
He said yes it will fit but not sure at all about if the software can run it, is he being funny or is it true 
Il upload a pic I took as soon as I can, it had 6 bolts at the bottom right side of the engine if thats information to anyone

It shouldnt be much different surely... the software might be different but if you're using your box with your software then I can't see a problem... I'm assuming the dsg software and engine software a seperate...

Yeah sounds right why shouldnt it as long as it fits up right, hopefully someone else can confirm for sure

I'm sure someone will, but then again you are a pioneer in all this so not sure, could you get a template made up of the bolt holes and check against yours...

The engine is an engine and will mate to either a dsg box or a manual.  There may be a few differences with the ancillaries, but nothing that can't be swapped from the old axx.

I know you have but my question is rather about the software part of the install, the seller confused me!

You are using your gearbox right? Well your dsg software will run that, and the new ecu you get with your engine will run your new engine...

Am not changing the ecu so leaving everything as it is, and yeah I know about the DSG box am going to be using but his question only came to me when he said it may not work it so that's all
