Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble
The best guitar player ever...!!!
Unfortunally I didn't have the luck to see him live.

I did, second row of the Hammersmith Odeon, June 1988. So loud I couldn't hear for about 2 days afterwards!

....The first band I ever saw was Aretha Franklin. And then Ike & Tina Turner in the same year. That's over 40 years ago. How old do you think that makes me feel?

Saw Def Leppard in their "Hysteria" days in Bristol and their backing group Tesla blew them away, still listen to them today.

Aretha and Tina, that's just greedy in one year.  Aretha's voice singing "Respect" is something special.  :notworthy:

....Michael Jackson and Prince in the same week, Rolling Stones backstage pass, and many other very special memories of many various concerts. I think that as in motorsport, my generation had much greater access. I wish I had taken photos!

There is a lot of love for the late 80's/early 90's going on here. I think that says a lot about the average age of mk5 GTI owners :) like many others my faves are:

Radiohead
Manics
Massive attack
Doves
James
Portishead
Blur
Chilli's
Primal Scream
Cast

And I'm slightly surprised to see Muse not get a mention yet, the best live act ever bar none (hence they always win that award) sorry foo's fans  :booty:
